Directions to Inn on Mill Creek
“For me, a landscape does not exist in its own right, since its appearance changes at every moment; but the surrounding atmosphere brings it to life – the light and the air which vary continually. For me, it is only the surrounding atmosphere which gives subjects their true value.” ~ Claude Monet
Inn on Mill Creek is inside western North Carolina’s Pisgah National Forest, three miles (10 minutes) northeast of downtown Black Mountain and seven miles (15 minutes) northwest of the town of Old Fort.

Distances
A helpful tip for our road-trippers: In the mountains of North Carolina, people often use time it takes to get somewhere rather than mileage when talking about distance. There is rarely a straight line between two points on a scenic drive in the mountains.
