REDECORATING
Please forgive us for light blog posting lately. During the past several weeks, during moments when Brigette is not watching over the gardens like a hawk, measuring each spring bud poking out of the ground and meticulously writing its growth down in her garden journal (yes, she is that fanatical over gardening), we’ve been working on redecorating and photographing the guest rooms. Soon, we’ll be giving each of our seven rooms its own sparkling new page on our website. Here’s a preview:
DELIGHTFUL DISCOVERIES
Our 2008 quest is to discover great finds for our guests. Some of what we’ve discovered so far:
GAGA OVER GARDENING
Someone stop Brigette; she’s on gardening overload. We’ve received about 14 seed and nursery gardening catalogs in the past two weeks, and the lists (plural) of what to buy next just keep getting longer and longer. Thumbing through page after page of beautiful flowers and shrubs is a great way to pass a winter’s day.
TERRACE CONTINUED
We’re wrapping up work on the Terrace Suite and we have a few photos to share with you. The painting is finished and the curtains are up. We don’t want to unveil the whole thing just yet as we have a few very minor details to add, but here are a few teasers:
TERRACE PAINTING BEGINS
You may have noticed on the availability schedule that the Terrace room is blocked off for the next two weeks. That’s because we’ll be doing some painting. Serious painting.
DINING AREA FACE LIFT
The dining area of the kitchen got a new coat of paint last week…we’re really happy with the results. The new color really brings out the stone behind the wood stove and looks great as you walk in to the kitchen from the solarium. It’s like a little piece of outdoors has come inside. The color is River Bank by Behr.
