More Planters and More Flowers To Enjoy, Ahhhhh
We love gardens… and plants… and flowers. This is no secret if you have been to the Inn on Mill Creek Bed & Breakfast. It comes as no surprise, then, that one of Innkeeper/Engineer Dave’s 2022 projects was to build a new set of six planters, similar to the ones he built that line the outside of the dining solarium.
Stained Glass Outdoor Sculpture
The Inn on Mill Creek Bed & Breakfast has a new outdoor sculpture to greet guests when they arrive… beautiful stained glass! A Black Mountain artist, Barbara Brinson, created the one-of-a-kind piece for us, called Sunrise in Pisgah, and we installed it in the garden area along the driveway. We’re so excited to share it with everyone!

Many of you know that Innkeeper Dave sustained a serious shoulder injury in early 2019, resulting in two surgeries and a nearly year-long recovery. Great news – our favorite engineer and DIY innkeeper is back in good form and so along with the usual freshening up of guest spaces, we’re tackling a number of projects that had to go on the backburner last year. Woohoo! Hello Bamboo (Flooring)
Two of our popular rooms, the Mountain Laurel Room and the Maple Tree Room, got recent floor upgrades. Buh-bye carpet, hellooooo bamboo! We picked bamboo because of its durability and because it looks beautiful. Innkeeper Dave had the bamboo shipped to the Inn and installed the floor himself from start to finish.
