We are well on our way to having one of the more colorful fall seasons in our 13 years at the Inn on Mill Creek Bed & Breakfast! Mother Nature has really outdone herself in 2020, perhaps knowing that we needed this beautiful break in a chaotic time. Fall is progressing quite nicely as we head toward the the third weekend of October, with bright yellows as the dominant color in our neck of the woods, 2,300 feet in elevation inside Pisgah National Forest east of Asheville. Read on for tips on where to spot great color this week and next.
Early October is bringing us pops of fall color and it’s making us very happy! We’re so lucky to be inside Pisgah National Forest, watching the season progress and while Mother Nature has a way to go with her fall color show, we are liking Act 1 so far.

Getting very, very close to peak color around Asheville… finally! Whew. Thought it would never get here. And it’s during Halloween week, which is perfect since the holiday comes with all kinds of fall imagery, including pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns. Which, by the way, have you ever seen our carved “pugkin”? Soooo fitting for a B&B with pugs.
