The North Carolina Arboretum is quickly becoming a favorite destination for guests who want to get outside to appreciate nature, but don’t necessarily want to hike up a mountain. It’s also on Brigette’s list of favorite spots around Asheville.
Spring is right around the corner! With that in mind, we will be bringing you photos on Friday of what Spring looks like here at the Inn on Mill Creek.
As members of the North Carolina Arboretum Society, we recently learned about a new exhibit on display at the North Carolina Arboretum and we wanted to share the information with you in the event you’re looking for things to do in our area during this quiet winter season.
We really shouldn’t be able to provide reports on fall foliage this late in the season…but here we are. What a wonderful Autumn we’ve been having! Several trees are still ablaze with color. Although a brief wind storm earlier this week led to a serious increase in bare branches, we’ve seen some really brilliant explosions of bright colors on the remaining leafy trees at our elevation due to some cool mountain nights.
We love art, we love our Southern artists and we love the Blue Ridge Parkway. That’s why we’re excited about a new exhibit coming to Blue Spiral 1 Gallery in Asheville.
We’re starting a new innblog entry every month for restaurant recommendations for guests by guests. What better way to get a feel for our fantastic local cuisine than from the recommendations of your fellow travelers?
